How to export your WhatsApp chat
Before uploading, export the chat from WhatsApp. It takes under a minute and works with .txt and .zip files. Always pick "Without media" for a lighter file.
On Android
Open the chat
Go to the chat you want to analyze in WhatsApp.
Tap the three dots
In the top right corner, you'll see three vertical dots. Tap them.
Select "More"
In the menu that appears, tap the "More" option.
Export chat
Tap "Export chat" in the new menu.
Without media
Choose "Without media" for a lighter and faster file.
Save the file
Share it to yourself via email, Google Drive, or save it on your phone. You'll get a .txt or .zip file.
On iPhone (iOS)
Open the chat
Go to the chat you want to analyze in WhatsApp.
Tap the contact name
At the top of the chat, tap the contact's name or photo to view their details.
Export chat
Scroll down until you find the "Export chat" option and tap it.
Without media
Choose "Without media" for a lighter and faster file.
Save the file
Share it to yourself via AirDrop, Mail, or iCloud Drive. You'll get a .txt or .zip file.
