Is It Safe to Analyze Your Chats? Privacy in WhatsApp Apps

The problem: most apps upload your messages
Many chat analysis tools require you to upload your conversation to their servers. That means your private messages, photos and personal data pass through third-party hands. It's a real privacy risk.
Even if the company promises to "delete the data," once your messages leave your device, you lose control over them.
Local vs. cloud processing
- In the cloud: Your chat is sent to an external server, processed there, and the results are returned to you. Your messages pass through third-party infrastructure.
- Local processing: Your chat is processed directly in your browser. The data never leaves your device. Not even the company that built the tool can see your messages.
WspWrapped uses 100% local processing. Your chat file is read and analyzed inside your browser using JavaScript. It is technically impossible for us to access your messages.

- Processing in the browser: All analysis happens on your device
- No message upload: The content of your chat is NEVER sent to a server
- Statistics only: The only thing stored are aggregated numbers (counts, averages) — never text
- Transparent code: You can verify in your browser's developer tools that no data is sent
What data is stored?
Only aggregated statistical data such as:
- Total number of messages per person
- Average response times
- Emoji counts (without the messages)
- Calculated scores (compatibility, romance, etc.)
Never stored: the text of your messages, contact names, phone numbers, or media content.
How to verify it yourself
If you want to be 100% sure, open your browser's Developer Tools (F12), go to the "Network" tab, and observe that during the analysis no requests are sent containing your chat content. You'll only see authentication requests and numeric statistics.
